Injuries and illnesses can strike at any time. With extremely busy work schedules the last thing anyone wants is to attend the local Accident & Emergency department and have to wait for hours to see a doctor.
The NHS Emergency Services and Accident & Emergency Departments do an incredible job. However, with resources stretched to the limit and the number of attendances to the Emergency Department increasing year on year, waiting times are increasing exponentially. A free NHS at times seems unsustainable.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BOOK AN URGENT CARE NOW APPOINTMENT?
With our enhanced A&E style Consultation Service we provide the following services in the following order:
Book an appointment using our online booking link on the right hand side of the page. Alternatively you can book an appointment by calling our clinic on: 0207 531 6600. Once you have received the confirmation email please complete the attached pre-appointment questionnaire. The information provided in this questionnaire will help us when it comes to conducting your Triage Video Call.
Once you have booked a consultation with us, either by phone or through our online booking portal, you will receive a Video Consultation at the first available time slot. This will last for 15 minutes and will serve as a triage assessment. Our specialists will decide at this point whether it is suitable for you to attend our clinic or whether more urgent treatment is required at your local Emergency Department. If deemed suitable you will be given an appointment immediately.
In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic that has swept across the world our specialist doctors will assess for the signs and symptoms of Coronavirus. If you have any symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 at the Triage Video Call you will be asked not to attend clinic and to self-isolate at home. Should your symptoms appear to be quite severe we may recommend attending the Emergency Department. If you do not have any active symptoms of Covid-19, our specialists will carry out a Covid-19 point of care finger prick test upon your arrival to clinic. This will be subject to an additional charge.
Once you have arrived at clinic a member of our specialist team will take a history from you and perform a thorough examination. Thanks to our wealth of experience we are able to provide a rapid differential diagnosis.
At Rejuvence Medical we are able to perform a wealth of blood tests that include Full Blood Count, Kidney Function Tests, Liver Function Tests, Inflammatory Markers, Coagulation Screen and even specialist tests for Deep Vein Thrombosis, Pulmonary Embolism, Thyroid Function and Haematinics.
With most presentations blood results are not required immediately. In addition, thanks to the experience of our specialist team we ensure only those tests that are relevant to the clinical presentation are requested thereby saving you time and money. With our included blood test service, results are normally available within 12-24 hours. In certain cases we can even arrange for blood results to be processed on the same day.
If required we can perform an ECG at Rejuvence Medical. The ECG can be used to further evaluate your symptoms and put them into context. We will provide you with a digital copy of your ECG and this can be shared with your NHS GP or Consultant. Our experienced clinicians are experts at interpreting ECGs.
Urine dipstick tests can be very helpful in the diagnosis of simple urinary tract infections right through to kidney dysfunction, kidney stones and even provide evidence of early diabetes and blood sugar control. The presence of ketones in the urine can be an early sign of diabetic ketoacidosis in Type I diabetics as well as dehydration. Our specialists are skilled at using multiple diagnostic tests and aids to provide a comprehensive and fast clinical assessment to get you the answers you want and the treatment you need.
Point-of-Care Testing has seen rapid advances over recent years. Point-of-care testing is defined as medical investigations at or near the point of care – in other words at the patient’s bedside. This allows for diagnostic testing to occur in the doctor’s clinic and enables much faster diagnoses to be made facilitating faster treatment for the patient. At Rejuvence Medical we are able to offer multiple point-of-care tests that allow us to provide immediate diagnoses for our patients.
Our specialists are leaders in their field and many have advanced training and experience in the field of Point-of-Care Ultrasound. For years, ultrasound scans have been performed by radiologists and sonographers. With the advent of point-of-care, new ultrasound scanning protocols have been developed to run alongside a traditional doctor’s physical examination to provide yes and no answers to specific clinical questions. Our specialists are able to integrate ultrasound into their clinical examinations to enhance their diagnostic skills and to provide more rapid answers and treatment.
If more detailed ultrasound scans are required our doctors can arrange for a thorough and more traditional ultrasound scan with our Consultant Radiologist at Rejuvence Medical. This service can potentially be arranged on the same day as your appointment thereby getting you treatment faster.
What can we treat at Rejuvence Medical?
With our enhanced A&E style consultation service we are able to tend to a number of different clinical presentations. We are able to assess and investigate acute and chronic conditions as well as a variety of injuries and lacerations. We are able to assess infections such as cellulitis and abscesses and we can start treatment for these immediately in the clinic.
Treatment at Rejuvence Medical
Following a full assessment and any diagnostic tests, our specialists will put together a treatment plan for you. A large proportion of minor and moderate illnesses do not require admission to hospital and can be addressed as an outpatient. Access to blood tests and point-of-care diagnostics means we are able to offer an enhanced emergency service that offers you far more than your own GP.
Treatment may consist of simple prescription medication and follow up with your GP or indeed further investigations that may warrant referral to other private providers or referral back to NHS services. We are able to offer intravenous (IV) antibiotics for moderate infections and arrange follow-up. We can also perform a large number of minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic there and then.
Why choose our URGENT CARE NOW service?
The aim of our enhanced A&E style service is to get you expert emergency medical care quickly and efficiently at an affordable price. You get urgent medical advice and treatment from experienced leading Emergency Medicine specialists. Most importantly this care is delivered without having to wait for hours in frustration and discomfort in a very busy Accident & Emergency Department.
We don’t take RISKs!
At Rejuvence Medical we don’t take risks. We always ensure that the safety and well being of our patients is paramount. There are times when it will be necessary for you to attend the Accident & Emergency Department as this is where you will receive the most appropriate care.
Our experienced team of specialists are experts at deciding what conditions and illnesses require urgent treatment that can only be delivered at an Emergency Department. Our team of doctors deal with these situations on a daily basis and always ensure they work safely but at the same time prevent unnecessary congestion of an already overstretched and under resourced Emergency Department.
At the end of your consultation should it become apparent that you need an urgent transfer to the local Accident & Emergency Department we will facilitate this for you and provide you with a comprehensive referral document clearly identifying who we are and what we have done for you. Any initial treatment we can provide will be administered. Although we cannot guarantee you will be seen quickly on arrival to A&E we will do our utmost to ensure your needs are addressed and the transfer is as seamless as possible.
